….but he won’t soon be forgotten after this week’s show. There’s a new SHANK in town!
I can’t ever remember a Big Break episode with such emotion and such a grand finale as this week’s, and it’s not even the last show! My mouth dropped more than once, whether it was from Carl’s amazing 3-wood or Robbie’s surprise revelation at the end. Wow!
And when it was all over, I had a sudden urge to yell at the TV, “Robbie, who are you and what have you done to Shank?”
Did the Big Break and Carl’s friendship really transform this good ole country boy into a new man? Oh yay!
I knew at some point in this series I was going to have to start saying goodbye to my new friends on this Big Break. I love all three of these guys and I knew a 3-way tie wasn’t in the cards. But as much as I knew it could happen, I had trouble picturing Carl and Robbie battling for survival. Imagine how they must have felt. I guess the only way to know is to ask them…

And then there’s the man who’s been living in the pressure cooker for too many shows. How does he stay so calm?
So…it was a sad show in many respects, but an inspirational one as well. Robbie touched many BB fans in the US of A during this series. And having his transformation revealed on Independence Day…well, I can’t think of a better way to give hope to all of us. It’s never too late to start a new beginning.
