Solheim versus Fedex – Postive versus Negative – Not hard to choose what I’m watching this weekend!

I am subscribed to the golf channel and so I get an email everyday with today’s latest news. Today I was delighted to see that Natalie Gulbis has a blog and is writing about her experiences at the Solheim Cup this year. Talk about upbeat! Wow…makes you want to be part of that team!

Then there was this article: Time for Players to Quit Whining. 63 million dollars for 4 weeks work. Hmmm….I’d say that’s a lot to whine about, wouldn’t you? Give me a break!

I don’t know about you, but my parents worked very hard when I was growing up and they were never able to take time off work to be with me on my first days of school. They worked hard and raised me well and loved me. They didn’t whine about only getting 2 weeks off a year for our summer vacation. It boggles my mind that these players whine about 4 weeks in a row. I think they are turning into Prima Donas. Guys…you are the luckiest people in the world. Instead of whining, start thanking God that you CAN golf 4 weeks in a row and that your vocation is what you love. You’ve been more than blessed.

Anyway…it will be over soon, but I have to say, I’m getting pretty down about the negativity from the “best”, as you can tell. And I hate being down, so I’m going to focus on the positive. I’m going to play golf all weekend and watch the Solheim Cup when I’m not playing and enjoy every minute of it, no matter who wins.

Thats so awesome i cant wait to get my daily email from the golf channel.

  2. The perception the non-golfing world is getting of watching how the top men golfers in the world are acting over the Fed-Ex Cup is not good for golf. They equate that all golfers are that way. It is getting difficult to walk into a meeting with clients and the first questions I am asked is when I am taking my 3 month vacation.
