Matrimonty!

How cute is this? Monty’s marrying a woman who’s a virgin when it comes to golf. From handles to grips and sticks to shafts, she’s come a long way, he says, but still doesn’t really know or care about the sport.

Given Colin’s obsession with golf (which killed his first marriage), it’s kind of strange he’d pick a bride who isn’t all that keen about his obsession. One of the things Charles and I enjoy is a joint addiction to golf and I think that makes us more compatible.

Hmmm…as much as I am happy about this for Monty and hope it really does motivate him to win a major, I am of the opinion that “opposites attract, but they often don’t sustain”. Oh well…let’s just wish them well, shall we?

But what makes me really happy is finding Renton back on the golf channel with Warren. it’s so good to see him healthy again. What a great pair they are commentating on the European Tour. I can’t wait to hear what Renton says about Monty’s news – he always likes to dig him just a little.
